Executive Coordinator

Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the Executive Coordinator ensures the operational delivery of our Programs and Services to the Community while maintaining the financial and cultural stability of the organization.

Responsibilities​

  • Overall accountability to plan, develop, implement, deliver, monitor, and evaluate programs and services within the mission, vision, core values, policies, and established goals of the PWC. Achieved by directing and inspiring a team of extremely enthusiastic and qualified staff.

  • Develop and monitor the annual budget. Cashflow management.

  • Management of PWC human resources in accordance with the Board’s human resource policies focusing on team building, leading, coaching, and mentoring staff and volunteers.

  • Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with community groups and organizations, governments, and individuals.

  • Oversee maintenance of a system of record keeping and databases ensuring compliance with all related legislation.

  • Oversee planning and implementation of fundraising.

Competencies

The successful candidate must possess the following:

  • Post-secondary education and/or training related to human resources, financial management, and program and service delivery.

  • Minimum of three years of experience in a supervisory/management position in similar organizations.
    Preference for experience in the socio-health service sector.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop policies and procedures.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills in relating to employees, Board members, the public, other organizations, government officials and the media.

  • Working knowledge of budgetary practices and standards, and the ability to apply those practices in preparing and monitoring PWCs annual budget and managing monthly cashflow.

  • Ability to foster a healthy organizational culture, and to encourage teamwork and collaboration.

  • Ability to resolve complex, contentious, and sensitive issues with tact, compassion, and sensitivity.

This is a part-time position - 25 hours/week
(Mon - Fri, 5 hrs/day preferred but flexible).
