May 5, 2020 has been designated #GivingTuesdayNow, a global day of unity by the GivingTuesday global organization, due to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19. This global movement joins together organizations within communities to inspire generosity amongst billions of people around the world to support the causes they believe in and the communities they care about.
As a proud partner, we have launched our PWC Connects: Tablet Drive starting today, marking a month-long campaign asking for donations of new, old or unused tablets. Our goal is to ensure that everyone has access to the technology that will allow them to participate in our virtual PWC “Zoom” Programs, and remain virtually connected to friends and loved ones during this period of social distancing. There are some members of our community who don’t have the technology to do this.
PWC will disinfect and prepare all tablet donations to be used in a lend out program for people in need for PWC program participation and other limited duration use.
A safe, no-contact drop off site is available at PWC. Simply call the Peachland Wellness Centre at (250) 767-0141 to schedule your drop-off time.
If you do not have any tablets, PWC is also accepting monetary donations for tablet purchase. Go to the PWC donation page , or Peachland Chamber , arrange for E-Transfer to email@example.com, or call the PWC and make arrangements to safely drop off your cheque or cash with one of our staff members.
In this new world of isolation, it is critical that we stay connected, and reach out to others.
Thank you for supporting us so that we can support the Peachland Community.
