The Helping Hands service provides intensive and immediate responses to individuals in Peachland who are unable to meet their basic living needs and/or are at risk of homelessness. People are assessed by the Services Coordinator to determine their short-term and long-term needs. This may include access to food, clothing, or shelter and assistance with accessing benefit programs and other external resources.
Immediate assistance may be provided with the issuance of a BC Transit Ticket(s), Petro Canada Gas Card, IGA Card, or referral to the Peachland Food Bank.
This service is not designed to replace any medical or health professional services.
