About the Event

The End of Summer Gala is the Peachland Wellness Centre's (PWC) 3rd annual Musical Extravaganza. This is a major fundraising event to support the many programs and services that are provided to the residents of Peachland through the PWC.

This fabulous event will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at the Peachland Community Centre. Included with your ticket will be an ELEGANT, served sit-down dinner, a silent auction, and world-class musical entertainment acts highlighted by the world-renowned Marty Edwards.

Tickets on sale as of July 1, 2021, at 9:00 am and online sales are limited!

PWC is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to offering community services and support to people of all ages, however, by nature of the current population, the services are primarily delivered to those 55+. The Central Okanagan area, including Peachland, has come to be known as a retirement community and attracts many retirees from all over Canada. According to the latest census data, Peachland’s average age is 51.8 which is higher than the Canadian average which was 41.2 as of 2016. As a result, the number of individuals reaching advanced ages in Peachland is expected to grow rapidly, thus increasing the need for PWC offered programs and services.

Proceeds from this fundraiser will allow the PWC to enhance or expand these programs and services to include not only people living in the rural and remote area of the community but also the residents of the 74 unit facility Residences on 6th. The objective of enhancing current programs and services and developing new ones is to meet the needs of people both vulnerable and diverse and to make them aware of their opportunities, including the opportunity to volunteer, as well as be included in the community socially and emotionally so they can improve their own lives and the well-being of others. PWC has become known as the go-to place for people in Peachland and works within its vision “people in our community are supported to embrace a happy, healthy and independent life”.
