We're Here For You...

The Better at Home program helps older adults continue living independently in their own homes, and stay connected to the community, by providing simple, non-medical home support services such as:
-
Light Housekeeping
-
Transportation
-
Friendly Visitor
-
Light Yard Work
-
Minor Home Repairs
-
Snow Removal

Services are delivered through the PWC by volunteers and paid workers.
Am I eligible?
Potential participants are assessed by a PWC Service Coordinator based on financial eligibility and individual needs. Those who are not eligible can still participate in other PWC programs and services such as Friendly Visitor/Caller and Transportation.

Is there a cost?
Participants are charged on a sliding scale basis, based on income for the light housekeeping, transportation, yard work and snow removal services.
There is a suggested donation for the transportation service based on the length of the trip requested.

How do I access this service?
For more information contact a PWC Service Coordinator at (250)767-0141.
