Adult Day Service (ADS)

In partnership with the Interior Health Authority, this service provides part-of-the-day supervised programming in a group setting. On-site support services may include leisure activities, meals and personal care

Date: Mondays and Thursdays

Time: 9:30 am - 3:00 pm

The PWC Adult Day Service provides part-of-the-day supervised programming in a group setting for dependent adults, such as the frail elderly, individuals with dementia, chronic health issues, or disabilities (complex care clients as defined in the Ministry of Health Services provincial policy). It is designed to meet the needs of clients who require supportive health care due to health, functional, or social issues. On-site support services may include leisure activities and meals.

This service is not designed to replace any medical or health professional services.

What happens at a session?

A variety of activities occur during the Adult Day Service session, including light exercise, arts & crafts, games, nutritious lunch & snacks, while giving caregivers an opportunity to catch up on errands, attend to personal needs or take a much-deserved rest.

Am I eligible?

Clients are screened for eligibility by the Interior Health Authority, which will then refer those clients who are eligible and assessed as requiring Adult Day Services to the Peachland Wellness Centre.

Is there a cost?

There is a nominal cost to participants.
