Youth Leadership Program
Meets Wednesdays at 4pm.

"Peachland Personalities" booklet completed and presented to Chris Scowen in December, as part of the Centennial Celebration. 

"Walk for Polio" in partnership with Peachland Rotary was on Sunday March 28th. The Youth raised $750.00 to donate to the Rotary International to help eradicate polio in developing countries.


This amazing group of volunteers has worked hard for the community of Peachland.
Here is a list of some of the things they have done.
Mural

Trepanier bridge mural:  organized the event, prepared the wall, printed the posters for advertising in the schools, organized the students involved and conducted the paint-in on the day of the event.

Halloween:  decorated the wellness centre for the week and participated at the Rec Centre doing decorations and crafts for their 'Spooktacular' event.

teens Centennial Projects:  senior interviews & logging documentation booklet for Peachland's centennial completed.

Craft fair: organized a book sale to raise money for their adopt-a-family for Christmas (raised $170)

Wellness Centre Dance: made posters for this dance and also put together a gift basket for a raffle(by donation) to raise money for adopt-a-family (raised $130)

Christmas:   sang Christmas carols at the light-up for the city, helped a resident’s put up their Christmas lights and decorated the Peachland Wellness Centre

Valentine:   decorated the Wellness Centre

Spirit of B.C.:  participated at this event and hosted a table for the Wellness Centre

teens Seniors’ Stories: collecting the life stories of Peachlands’ old-timers to archive their histories in the museum. These will be incorporated in a book titled Senior Life Stories See Senior Choice News

Line dance: taught a line dance at the Wellness Centre’s western dance.

Youth needs assessment for Peachland:  acted as the youth focus group for the area.

teens Annual fund raiser: this year chose to donate to the Neonatal Unit at
Kelowna General Hospital and the Youth in Crisis on the Westside
