Volunteers Pins
To recognize contributions to the PWC, lapel pins will be awarded to those who have volunteered 100 Hours for any activity Presentations will be made at the annual PWC Volunteer Appreciation Day.
In January, we started a record-keeping system to collect each volunteer's contributing hours at the PWC. Please use the form to record the number of Volunteer hours by the activities headings.
At the end of each month, a collection box will be placed on the dishwasher in the kitchen. Insert your completed form and pick up the next month's form
After you collected 100 hours, you qualify for a 100 Hour pin - and for each 100 Hours after that!
The data that is collected will the BOD to provide information for grant proposals, and duly acknowledge the time contributed by our valuable Volunteers. |
Volunteer Hours is defined as the amount of UNPAID time devoted to:
- Coordinating programs, e.g., Falls Prevention, Monday Morning Coffee Club, Wellness Circle, Computer Literacy, Painting with Pete, Tai Chi.
- Designing: ads, brochures, flyers, posters, signs, etc.
- Errands for staff
- Events - fund raising, Volunteer Appreciation Day, etc.
- Maintenance - decorating, painting, repairing PWC facilty, etc
- Meetings - BOD: executive and general. including preparing agendas/minutes, Friday Gabfests. etc.
- Misc. - washing dishes, making tea/coffee during the week, etc.
- Projects - basement renovations, Bulletin Board updates, grant applications, Legacies Now, Mail Slots, program evaluations, etc.
- Sunday Breakfasts - getting supplies, preparation, cooking/cleaning, serving, etc.
- Transporting people via car or van to appointments or to PWC activities
